A nine-year-old boy is in stable condition after he was shot at his Maloney home in the early hours of Wednesday.
Gunmen stormed the home around 4 am after the boy's father opened the door, believing the loud knocking was the police.
Upon realising it was gunmen banging at his door, ran further inside the house but was chased and shot in his foot, while his son was shot in his left heel.
The gunmen escaped in a waiting vehicle.
Guardian Media understands investigators from the Northern Division were gathering evidence at the house up to midday.
