Thir­ty-three year old Nick­a­lyn Agar­rat of Mal­oney Gar­dens was grant­ed $150,000 bail af­ter she ap­peared be­fore Jus­tice of the Peace, Stephen Young charged with  two counts of forgery, two counts of ut­ter­ing a false doc­u­ment and ob­tain­ing the sum of $46,000 by false pre­tences.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, Ms Agar­rat used a false job let­ter and payslip to ap­ply for a loan from a com­mer­cial bank.  Of­fi­cers of the Fraud Squad were con­tact­ed, and fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions Agar­rat was ar­rest­ed and sub­se­quent­ly charged. In­ves­ti­ga­tions were con­duct­ed Snr. Supt. (Ag.) Groome, Supt (Ag.) Reuben, ASP Lutch­man and su­per­vised by In­sp David, Sergeant (Ag.) Toney and WPC Camp­bell.
