Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a 21-year-old man in East Port of Spain yes­ter­day.

Re­ports say at around  6.15 pm of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a re­port of a body ly­ing on the road­way at Fos­ter Queve­do.

The vic­tim, Richard Ray­mond of La Re­source, East Dry Riv­er was bleed­ing from wounds about over his body and head.

He was con­veyed to the Port of Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead.

In a sep­a­rate in­ci­dent, two men were shot and in­jured in San Juan last evening. Po­lice say a 30-year-old man was clos­ing his fruit stall lo­cat­ed at the cor­ner of Bushe Street South and Hol­lis Street, San Juan while in the com­pa­ny of the 19-year-old vic­tim and oth­ers. Two men in a black Nis­san Note pulled up and ex­it­ed the ve­hi­cle.

The armed men start­ed shoot­ing at the men at the stall. The group scat­tered and the shoot­ers es­caped.

The vic­tims both from San Juan were shot and tak­en to the hos­pi­tal. The 30-year-old was shot in the low­er back and ab­domen while the 19-year-old was shot on his shoul­der.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
