Police are investigating the murder of a 21-year-old man in East Port of Spain yesterday.
Reports say at around 6.15 pm officers responded to a report of a body lying on the roadway at Foster Quevedo.
The victim, Richard Raymond of La Resource, East Dry River was bleeding from wounds about over his body and head.
He was conveyed to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
In a separate incident, two men were shot and injured in San Juan last evening. Police say a 30-year-old man was closing his fruit stall located at the corner of Bushe Street South and Hollis Street, San Juan while in the company of the 19-year-old victim and others. Two men in a black Nissan Note pulled up and exited the vehicle.
The armed men started shooting at the men at the stall. The group scattered and the shooters escaped.
The victims both from San Juan were shot and taken to the hospital. The 30-year-old was shot in the lower back and abdomen while the 19-year-old was shot on his shoulder.
Investigations are ongoing.
