Po­lice have charged Mar­vin Rugette, 52, of Beetham Gar­dens with mur­der fol­low­ing le­gal ad­vice from Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions Roger Gas­pard.

Rugette, al­so known as “Crush­er”, is ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore a Port of Spain Mag­is­trate in due course.

The charge re­lates to the death of two-year-old An­ge­lo Far­rel, who was al­leged­ly beat­en on Sat­ur­day, 18 No­vem­ber 2023, in Beetham Gar­dens. 

Doc­tors treat­ed the child at the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex in Mount Hope, but he died from his in­juries on Thurs­day, 23 No­vem­ber 2023.
