A Carapichaima man, who was charged with possession of a gun and ammunition in 2024, has been charged with murder and will re-appear in court next year.
Klevon “Moosai” Watson, of Orangefield Road, Chase Village, was charged with the killing of Keston “Fox” Gialdo, which took place on September 14.
Gialdo, a URP worker, also of Orangefield Road, Chase Village was stabbed to death on September 14, 2025.
Police alleged that Watson, 39, saw Gialdo walking along Orange Field Road, and grabbed him and stabbed him with a piece of broken bottle. He then allegedly dragged the deceased along the roadway near a flat yellow structure where he continued to stab him, before walking away.
Watson, who was represented by Bhimal Maharajh, was arrested on October 9 and appeared before Master Rhea Libert on Monday (October 13).
Libert ordered that police submit all files to the Director of Public Prosecutions on or before January 12, 2026, and for the DPP to file the indictment and all other necessary documents on or before that date.
The defence also was ordered to respond and file whatever documents upon which they intend to rely, on or before May 11, 2026, with the State given two weeks to respond by May 25, 2026. The sufficiency hearing will be heard on June 3, 2026.
In November 2024, Watson was granted $150,000 bail after he was charged for being in possession of an assault rifle and having 30 rounds of 5.5-millimetre ammunition.
He was supposed to have had a sufficiency hearing for that matter on the day he was arrested.
