Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the death of Isi­ah Sorzano, al­so known as Pablo, who was found with gun­shot wounds in Pe­nal yes­ter­day.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said around 7.35 am, of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to a re­port of loud ex­plo­sions re­ceived by the Com­mand Cen­tre.

Woman Sgt Mon­segue, PC Seep­er­sad, PC Joseph and PC Seep­er­sads­ingh vis­it­ed the scene and found Sorzano, 20, a labour­er, in a black jer­sey and blue three-quar­ter pants. His body bore gun­shot wounds.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors said Sorzano was known to them. In Au­gust 2024, Sorzano was charged with two counts of kid­nap­ping re­lat­ed to the ab­duc­tion of a Venezue­lan fa­ther and son. The vic­tims were al­leged­ly lured via a Face­book job ad­ver­tise­ment, ab­duct­ed and held for ran­som. Sorzano was grant­ed bail and was sched­uled for a suf­fi­cien­cy hear­ing in Oc­to­ber.
