An Ari­ma man who stopped to uri­nate in the vicin­i­ty of the Ca­roni Cre­ma­tion Site on Sun­day morn­ing, was robbed of his car by three armed men.

The vic­tim who lives at Mal­abar Set­tle­ment, was dri­ving a blue Hyundai Ac­cent west along Ca­roni Sa­van­nah Road when he stopped to uri­nate on the south­ern side of the road.

Po­lice say while stand­ing on the road, a white Nis­san Almera stopped and three men dressed in black cloth­ing alight­ed and an­nounced a rob­bery.

One of the sus­pects re­port­ed­ly got in­to the vic­tim’s car and con­tin­ued dri­ving west, as the oth­er two re­turned to their car and drove off be­hind them.

The vic­tim flagged down a pass­er-by who took him to the po­lice sta­tion.

The stolen ve­hi­cle was re­cov­ered sev­er­al hours lat­er at Prince Street, Port-of-Spain,by In­ter Agency Task Force of­fi­cers on pa­trol.
