Pedes­tri­ans and mo­torists in Port-of-Spain were alarmed this morn­ing af­ter one man stabbed an­oth­er man fol­low­ing an ar­gu­ment on the street.

The 45-year-old se­cu­ri­ty guard who lives at Ed­ward Street, Port-of-Spain, was re­port­ed­ly stand­ing at the cor­ner of Ox­ford and Aber­crom­by Streets, when he was al­leged­ly con­front­ed by a man he knew around 9.30 am.

It was al­leged the sus­pect and vic­tim be­gan ar­gu­ing, fol­low­ing which the sus­pect pulled out a knife and stabbed the vic­tim in the right shoul­der and left an­kle.

Passers-by alert­ed po­lice who ar­rived and took the in­jured man to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where he was treat­ed and ward­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion.
