An ar­gu­ment over mon­ey led to a 38-year-old man be­ing stabbed mul­ti­ple times in Siparia on Sun­day.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, around 9:20 a.m., the vic­tim got in­to an ar­gu­ment with a 19-year-old neigh­bour over a debt. 

Dur­ing the con­fronta­tion, the teenag­er al­leged­ly stabbed the man sev­er­al times—near his left eye, right fore­arm, right foot, stom­ach, and the back of his head.

The in­jured man was tak­en to the Siparia Health Fa­cil­i­ty and lat­er trans­ferred to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal in se­ri­ous con­di­tion.

The sus­pect, who lives in the same area—Coo­ra Branch Road, Siparia—was ar­rest­ed and tak­en to the Siparia Po­lice Sta­tion. PC Chaitram­s­ingh is con­tin­u­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions.
