A Mar­aval man was found dead in a parked van in Cunu­pia on Sun­day morn­ing, af­ter res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­fire.

Po­lice said An­tho­ny Subero was dis­cov­ered slumped in­side a Nis­san E24 van with mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds on Bho­lai Trace, off Mon­roe Road, around 8.48 am.

In­ves­ti­ga­tors be­lieve Subero had turned on­to a dead-end street when he was am­bushed by two gun­men who opened fire be­fore es­cap­ing through a near­by track.

Of­fi­cers from the Cunu­pia Po­lice Sta­tion and Re­gion III Homi­cide Bu­reau re­spond­ed and re­mained on the scene for sev­er­al hours.
