Two toddlers and four teenagers remain displaced after the Mary Care Centre in Woodbrook was destroyed by a fire on Wednesday night.
According to reports, around 10:50 pm police officers of the Woodbrook Police Station responded to a fire at Gallus Street.
When the officers arrived, they met the caretakers and others in the roadway. One caretaker told the police that while in her room she heard the fire alarm and upon making checks she observed smoke coming from the kitchen area and a room on the northern side of the home.
Firefighters of the Wrightson Road Fire Services extinguished the blaze, and no one was injured.
The value of damage is yet to be ascertained as well as the value of structure.
