Two tod­dlers and four teenagers re­main dis­placed af­ter the Mary Care Cen­tre in Wood­brook was de­stroyed by a fire on Wednes­day night.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, around 10:50 pm po­lice of­fi­cers of the Wood­brook Po­lice Sta­tion re­spond­ed to a fire at Gal­lus Street.

When the of­fi­cers ar­rived, they met the care­tak­ers and oth­ers in the road­way. One care­tak­er told the po­lice that while in her room she heard the fire alarm and up­on mak­ing checks she ob­served smoke com­ing from the kitchen area and a room on the north­ern side of the home.

Fire­fight­ers of the Wright­son Road Fire Ser­vices ex­tin­guished the blaze, and no one was in­jured.

The val­ue of dam­age is yet to be as­cer­tained as well as the val­ue of struc­ture.
