Tobago police are on the hunt for three masked bandits who terrorised a 10-year-old boy during a brazen home invasion in Carnbee on Thursday.

Around 10 a.m., the child was alone in his bedroom when two men stormed into the house—one of them wearing a blue jacket with grey stripes and armed with what appeared to be a firearm. The man pointed the weapon at the boy and jabbed him with it, leaving the child in fear for his life.

The intruders ransacked the room and stole a small sum of cash along with a gold chain. They then forced the boy into another bedroom, where they took several pairs of branded sneakers, gold jewellery, and over TT$5,000 in cash. In a third bedroom, they reportedly made off with additional gold jewellery and large amounts of both TT and US currency—altogether estimated at over $40,000 in stolen valuables.

Before fleeing through the back door, the two men joined a third accomplice downstairs. They ordered the boy to stay put as they escaped.

Officers from the Shirvan Road and Scarborough Police Stations responded, and the scene was processed by crime scene investigators.
