One month af­ter he sur­vived a shoot­ing, a 39-year-old se­cu­ri­ty guard was shot and killed at his Matu­ra home, on Tues­day night.

Po­lice said Sher­win Julien and a fe­male rel­a­tive were about to open the front door of their Carib Road, Matu­ra, home at around 6:55 pm, when they heard gun­shots.

The rel­a­tive no­ticed Julien bleed­ing from the up­per part of his left arm and the left side of his stom­ach.

She took him to the San­gre Grande Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was de­clared dead at around 9:32 pm that night.

Po­lice said Julien was shot at in Sep­tem­ber.  How­ev­er, they did not have a mo­tive for that pre­vi­ous shoot­ing.

Of­fi­cers from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
