One month after he survived a shooting, a 39-year-old security guard was shot and killed at his Matura home, on Tuesday night.
Police said Sherwin Julien and a female relative were about to open the front door of their Carib Road, Matura, home at around 6:55 pm, when they heard gunshots.
The relative noticed Julien bleeding from the upper part of his left arm and the left side of his stomach.
She took him to the Sangre Grande General Hospital where he was declared dead at around 9:32 pm that night.
Police said Julien was shot at in September. However, they did not have a motive for that previous shooting.
Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.
