Sev­er­al schools in the Ma­yaro con­stituen­cy cur­rent­ly are be­ing san­i­tized ahead of the Sec­ondary En­trance As­sess­ment (SEA), sched­uled for Thurs­day 1st Ju­ly 2021, as part of the Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion’s ef­forts to mit­i­gate the risk of COVID-19.

The Ma­yaro Rio Claro Re­gion­al Cor­po­ra­tion (MR­CRC) has em­barked up­on a school san­i­tiz­ing ini­tia­tive, with the Mafek­ing Gov­ern­ment Pri­ma­ry School and the Ma­yaro Gov­ern­ment Pri­ma­ry School among those be­ing han­dled.

Mem­bers of the Cor­po­ra­tion’s Pub­lic Health De­part­ment were on site at both schools this week, us­ing the Elec­tro­sta­t­ic Sprayer (De­fog­ger) and ac­com­pa­ny­ing chem­i­cals (135,000 litres of COVID-19 San­i­tiz­er), which were do­nat­ed by On­site Ser­vices Lim­it­ed and the Ma­yaro COVID-19 Ac­tion Task Force.

The do­nat­ed chem­i­cals and equip­ment were hand­ed over to the MR­CRC Dis­as­ter Man­age­ment Unit to as­sist in san­i­ti­za­tion of pub­lic of­fices, schools and oth­er high-risk ar­eas in the MR­CRC Re­gion.
