Minister of Social Development and Family Services Donna Cox is encouraging non-governmental organisations to continue caring for the vulnerable.
Minister Cox joined Apostle Dr. Christopher Douglas and his wife Pastor Anna Maria Douglas to cut the ribbon officially opening their brand new building, the Liberty Apostolic Ministries Network yesterday.
The event took place at #1 Toumain Drive, Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas.
Speaking at the building’s dedication, Minister Cox encouraged non-profit organisations to continue partnering with the government to assist the vulnerable stating that their role in helping, empowering and transforming the lives of individuals, families and communities cannot be overstated.
“Within recent times, the Ministry of Social Development and Family Services has been more intentional about establishing partnerships with Faith-based Organisations, Non-Governmental Organisations, and Community-based Organisations, which are dedicated to ensuring that our vulnerable populations are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve. As a result, we welcome the Church to form closer relationships with us, so we can collaborate to provide support to families in their most critical times of need," the Minister said.
