Residents of Indian Walk in Moruga are protesting over dust and the lack of water pipe borne water in their community.
From early this morning, the residents began burning tyres and debris along the Moruga Road, near Third Company Road.
Residents complained that a few months ago, they fixed a landslip, but the road was not repaired.
Eighty-two-year-old Joyce Woods told Guardian Media the dust is making life a nightmare.
"It affecting me bad, all inside,” Joyce Woods said. “You drinking dust. You eating dust. You sleeping dust. The dust bad and they not fixing the road at all."

The Indian Walk resident told Guardian Media that what makes matters worse is that the area has an irregular water supply.
“The last time we got water,” Woods said, “was two weeks ago.”
Indian Walk residents say they cannot even clean their homes for Christmas and the dust is making them ill them sick.
They intend to continue their protests until their issues are addressed.
