Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the mur­der of a man, which oc­curred in Mor­vant on Thurs­day af­ter­noon.

Of­fi­cers said they re­spond­ed to a re­port of gun­fire at Plover Street, Mor­vant, where they found the body of Miguel Hope.

At the scene, in­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered eleven spent 5.56 cal­i­bre shells.

Hope, a 38-year-old pool tech­ni­cian, had been sit­ting with his fa­ther around 5 pm when a gun­man ap­proached and opened fire.

The shoot­er then ran off and got in­to a car of un­known make and mod­el.
