Seventeen-year-old Adrianna Robertson, who was reported missing on Monday, walked into the Tunapuna Police Station yesterday afternoon, bringing an end to a brief missing persons alert.
She turned up at the police station shortly after a post appeared on her social media account stating, “Hi guys this is Adrianna. I am safe and ok.”
The Morvant teenager had left home to attend classes at St Charles High School in Tunapuna when she was reported missing.
Officials close to the investigation said Robertson, along with two other persons, was seen at an apartment at Dass Trace, Enterprise, on Tuesday.
Investigators were unable to confirm whether the Form Five student had reported to school for scheduled examinations on the day she went missing.
The officials said the trio—including another teenage girl and a man—was also reportedly spotted in the Tunapuna district on Tuesday morning.
Police said there is no information to suggest that Robertson was being held against her will.
Police are also searching for two other young women, believed to be around Robertson’s age, who are currently unaccounted for.
Authorities say no missing persons reports have yet been formally filed for the two minors.
Robertson has, so far, not provided police with details about her whereabouts or about a man who was reportedly seen with her and two other young women in the Tunapuna area on Tuesday morning.
Investigations are ongoing.
