Motorists are being urged to exercise caution while travelling along the Beetham Highway eastbound after a ruptured water line in the vicinity of the NP Gas Station is causing hazardous driving conditions.
The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure issued a public notice today advising that a water line along the eastbound carriageway has ruptured, with water being projected several feet into the air.
The Ministry warned that the force of the water could affect visibility for drivers and create dangerous conditions along that section of the roadway.
Motorists have been urged to proceed with caution, reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance and comply with all instructions from officials on site.
The Ministry said it is working alongside the Water and Sewerage Authority to address the situation. It also apologised for any inconvenience caused.
