Point Fortin MP Kennedy Richards is urging motorists to be cautious on the new Solomon Hochoy Highway Extension to Point Fortin following the deaths of two people in an accident.
Speaking at the commissioning of the highway this morning, Richards, a pilot, urged motorists to obey the speed limit, not use the roads to race and leave the flying to him.
Reports stated that two vehicles crashed head-on into each other near La Brea on Friday night. Firefighters and an ambulance responded and noticed two people already dead. Others were taken to the hospital for emergency care.
Police identified one of the deceased as Ottis Roach, 29, of La Brea while the other victim, a woman, was unidentified.
