Point Fortin MP Kennedy Richards is urg­ing mo­torists to be cau­tious on the new Solomon Ho­choy High­way Ex­ten­sion to Point Fortin fol­low­ing the deaths of two peo­ple in an ac­ci­dent.

Speak­ing at the com­mis­sion­ing of the high­way this morn­ing, Richards, a pi­lot, urged mo­torists to obey the speed lim­it, not use the roads to race and leave the fly­ing to him.

Re­ports stat­ed that two ve­hi­cles crashed head-on in­to each oth­er near La Brea on Fri­day night. Fire­fight­ers and an am­bu­lance re­spond­ed and no­ticed two peo­ple al­ready dead. Oth­ers were tak­en to the hos­pi­tal for emer­gency care.

Po­lice iden­ti­fied one of the de­ceased as Ot­tis Roach, 29, of La Brea while the oth­er vic­tim, a woman, was uniden­ti­fied.
