NCC to host viewing ceremony for Brother Resistance

The Na­tion­al Car­ni­val Com­mis­sion of Trinidad and To­ba­go (NCC) wish­es to ad­vise the pub­lic of a spe­cial view­ing for mu­si­cal and cul­tur­al icon, Lu­ta­lo Masim­ba, more af­fec­tion­ate­ly known as Broth­er Re­sis­tance, on Thurs­day, Ju­ly 22 at the Grand Stand fore­court, Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, be­tween the hours of 10 am to 1 pm. 

The NCC fur­ther wish­es to ad­vise all per­sons in­ter­est­ed in at­tend­ing Thurs­day’s view­ing that strict COVID-19 pro­to­cols are be­ing en­forced, in­clud­ing the con­tin­u­ous wear­ing of face masks on the com­pound and so­cial dis­tanc­ing mark­ers.

Com­mis­sion­er Masim­ba will be laid to rest on Fri­day, Ju­ly 23, with an in­ti­mate Cel­e­bra­tion of His Life cer­e­mo­ny.  In keep­ing with his fam­i­ly’s wish­es, mem­bers of the pub­lic are ad­vised that Fri­day’s ser­vice will be a closed af­fair, open on­ly to im­me­di­ate fam­i­ly mem­bers.

Through the Trinidad and To­ba­go Car­ni­val World Plat­form, tnt­car­ni­val­world.com, the NCC’s dig­i­tal plat­form, the pub­lic will be able to see the pre-record­ed footage of Fri­day’s Cel­e­bra­tion of His Life cer­e­mo­ny. The pub­lic will be ad­vised to log in to tnt­car­ni­val­world.com when it the cer­e­mo­ny is up­loaded ear­ly next week.

Live blog­ging will al­so be done on the day on the NCC’s Face­book and In­sta­gram pages to help keep the pub­lic in­formed in re­al time.
