Ameer Karim, a 27-year-old man of Riverside Road Curepe, has appeared virtually before Senior Magistrate Cheron Raphael in the Arima Magistrates’ Court charged with robbery with violence and kidnapping.
He was denied bail and remanded into custody, a release from the Police Service said.
Karim is charged in connection with a report of robbery and kidnapping on January 8.
After the report officers of the Arima Criminal Investigation Department (CID) launched a series of exercises coordinated by Supt Edwards and headed by Insp Ward, Insp Black and Sgt Haynes.
The enquiries by WPC Augustus led to his arrested.
He was identified as the suspect from the said report and was formerly charged for the offences.
He is is expected to reappear at court virtually on May 3
