No employees hurt in early morning fire

Amer­i­jet has con­firmed that no em­ploy­ee in­juries have been re­port­ed fol­low­ing a fire which oc­curred at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 5:00 a.m. this morn­ing at the Amer­i­jet In­ter­na­tion­al Air­lines ware­house fa­cil­i­ty at Pi­ar­co In­ter­na­tion­al Air­port in Port-of-Spain.

The com­pa­ny said it is work­ing close­ly with lo­cal au­thor­i­ties and first re­spon­ders to en­sure the fire is ful­ly con­tained. How­ev­er, they added that they were un­able to pro­vide ad­di­tion­al in­for­ma­tion un­til a full as­sess­ment is com­plet­ed.

Amer­i­jet stat­ed that the safe­ty of their em­ploy­ees, part­ners, and the sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ty re­mains their top pri­or­i­ty, and they will is­sue fur­ther up­dates as new in­for­ma­tion be­comes avail­able.
