No new COVID-19 deaths, but 55 more test positive

The lat­est ad­vi­so­ry from the Min­istry of Health is re­port­ing that there were no new deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, and as such, the na­tion­al death toll from the dis­ease re­mains at 4,013 lives lost.

In its up­date for to­day, Sun­day 3 Ju­ly 2022, the Min­istry of Health al­so re­ports that 55 more peo­ple have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19. At present, the to­tal num­ber of ac­tive cas­es in the coun­try is 6,378.

As of to­day, Sun­day, 101 COVID-19 pa­tients are hos­pi­talised—in hos­pi­tal and step-down fa­cil­i­ties.  Mean­while, some 6,277 pa­tients are in home self-iso­la­tion.

The Min­istry al­so notes that peo­ple con­tin­ue to re­cov­er from COVID-19.  Over the past 24 hours, 12 per­sons were dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties, while 87 com­mu­ni­ty cas­es were cer­ti­fied as re­cov­ered.

Cur­rent­ly, some 714,293 peo­ple in the coun­try are ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed, hav­ing com­plet­ed ei­ther a one-dose or two-dos­es reg­i­men of a COVID-19 vac­cine.  The Min­istry says this rep­re­sents some 51.0 per cent of the pop­u­la­tion.

And some 166,426 peo­ple have re­ceived their boost­er dos­es of a COVID-19 vac­cine, as of to­day, Sun­day, the Min­istry’s up­date re­ports.  Boost­er dos­es are ad­di­tion­al pri­ma­ry dos­es and boost­er dos­es of the COVID-19 vac­cine.
