The latest advisory from the Ministry of Health is reporting that there were no new deaths from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, and as such, the national death toll from the disease remains at 4,013 lives lost.
In its update for today, Sunday 3 July 2022, the Ministry of Health also reports that 55 more people have tested positive for COVID-19. At present, the total number of active cases in the country is 6,378.
As of today, Sunday, 101 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised—in hospital and step-down facilities. Meanwhile, some 6,277 patients are in home self-isolation.
The Ministry also notes that people continue to recover from COVID-19. Over the past 24 hours, 12 persons were discharged from public health facilities, while 87 community cases were certified as recovered.
Currently, some 714,293 people in the country are fully vaccinated, having completed either a one-dose or two-doses regimen of a COVID-19 vaccine. The Ministry says this represents some 51.0 per cent of the population.
And some 166,426 people have received their booster doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as of today, Sunday, the Ministry’s update reports. Booster doses are additional primary doses and booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
