Not enough dialysis patients getting vaccinated

Not enough dial­y­sis pa­tients are get­ting vac­ci­nat­ed, ac­cord­ing to Dr Emile Mo­hammed, Clin­i­cal Co­or­di­na­tor of the North-West Re­gion­al Health Au­thor­i­ty's COVID-19 par­al­lel health­care sys­tem.

Speak­ing at Mon­day's me­dia brief­ing by the Min­istry of Health, Dr Mo­hammed said be­tween May and Oc­to­ber, there were 259 COVID-19 pa­tients re­ceiv­ing dial­y­sis, of which 30.5 per cent of them have since died.

He ap­pealed to all dial­y­sis pa­tients to get vac­ci­nat­ed and urged those who al­ready took their jabs to take their third dose.
