A po­lice of­fi­cer who ac­com­pa­nied her son to sell a hood­ie in Laven­tille was able to scare off two ban­dits who tried to rob them on Wednes­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said the 20-year-old man and his moth­er re­ceived an or­der for a True Re­li­gion hood­ie for a cus­tomer in Laven­tille.

On reach­ing the East­ern Main Road, near a busi­ness place, both moth­er and son were ap­proached by two ban­dits, one of whom placed his hand in her son's pock­et and or­dered him to stay qui­et.

At the same time, the woman pulled out her li­censed pis­tol as both ban­dits ran away.

Hours lat­er on Mon­day af­ter­noon, went to Rigault Street off the East­ern Main Road, Laven­tille, to sell a PlaySta­tion 5 gam­ing con­sole to some­one he met via Face­book mar­ket­place.

On reach­ing the area, a ban­dit snatched the game con­sole and ran away.

The vic­tim chased the ban­dit and even­tu­al­ly caught up to him when they strug­gled over the item.

Dur­ing the fight, $3000 cash which was in the vic­tim's pock­et fell out on­to the street, as the ban­dit grabbed it and ran away.
