One man was killed and an­oth­er in­jured in a brazen day­light shoot­ing at a bar in Pe­nal yes­ter­day.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred around 2.25 pm at Shan­ti­la Bar, La­choos Road, when two gun­men opened fire. Pa­trons fled for safe­ty as bul­lets tore through the es­tab­lish­ment.

De­tails were sketchy but ini­tial re­ports in­di­cate that one man died at the scene, while an­oth­er was tak­en to hos­pi­tal, where he was be­ing treat­ed last night.

The iden­ti­ties of the vic­tims had not been re­leased up to presstime.
