Gunmen opened fire outside a bar in San Juan on Friday evening, killing one man and injuring two others, including a soldier.
The deceased as been identified as 32-year-old Mozik Cobham.
Police said around 5.20 pm a black SUV, heavily tinted and of unknown make and registration, stopped near a bar known as Flats at the corner of Ramkissoon Trace and Ramkissoon Extension. Four armed assailants, three dressed in black and one in camouflage, all wearing masks, got out and opened fire.
Patrons scattered, but Cobham and two others were shot. Civilians took them to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex. Cobham died shortly after arrival.
The survivors were identified as Gwen Small, 31, and Kevon Ferdinand, 25, a Trinidad and Tobago Regiment soldier. Both remain warded in stable condition.
Police said the gunmen returned to the SUV and escaped by heading west along Ramkissoon Street. Investigations are continuing.
