Gun­men opened fire out­side a bar in San Juan on Fri­day evening, killing one man and in­jur­ing two oth­ers, in­clud­ing a sol­dier.

The de­ceased as been iden­ti­fied as 32-year-old Mozik Cob­ham. 

Po­lice said around 5.20 pm a black SUV, heav­i­ly tint­ed and of un­known make and reg­is­tra­tion, stopped near a bar known as Flats at the cor­ner of Ramkissoon Trace and Ramkissoon Ex­ten­sion. Four armed as­sailants, three dressed in black and one in cam­ou­flage, all wear­ing masks, got out and opened fire.

Pa­trons scat­tered, but Cob­ham and two oth­ers were shot. Civil­ians took them to the Er­ic Williams Med­ical Sci­ences Com­plex. Cob­ham died short­ly af­ter ar­rival.

The sur­vivors were iden­ti­fied as Gwen Small, 31, and Kevon Fer­di­nand, 25, a Trinidad and To­ba­go Reg­i­ment sol­dier. Both re­main ward­ed in sta­ble con­di­tion.

Po­lice said the gun­men re­turned to the SUV and es­caped by head­ing west along Ramkissoon Street. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
