A late night lime end­ed with the death of a 28-year-old man and the wound­ing of two oth­ers on Tues­day.

Po­lice said Kelvin Alvin Nan­dram and two oth­er men were buy­ing food at Off the Av­enue, on Car­los Street, at around 11.15 pm when they heard gun­shots.

Nan­dram, who was shot, got in­to his white Toy­ota Field­er Wag­on and drove off but stopped near­by on Car­los Street. The two oth­er men, both aged 22, were al­so shot in the at­tack and ran to the back of the com­pound, where they re­mained.

Of­fi­cers of the In­ter Agency Task Force (IATF) vis­it­ed the scene and took Nan­dram and the two wound­ed men to hos­pi­tal where Nan­dram was de­clared dead. The wound­ed men un­der­went emer­gency surgery up to ear­ly Wednes­day morn­ing.

St Clair po­lice and of­fi­cers of the Spe­cial Ev­i­dence Re­cov­ery Unit (SERU) vis­it­ed the scene and found sev­er­al spent shells and a gun. Po­lice from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion I are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
