One man was arrested and quantities of marijuana seized, during separate anti-crime exercises in the Western and Northern Divisions yesterday.
In the first incident, officers of the Western Division’s Gang and Intelligence Unit, assisted by officers of the West End Criminal Investigations Department, conducted an exercise between 6:30 pm, on December 13 and 2:30 am, on December 14.
During the exercise, the officers searched the Diego Martin home of a male suspect, which resulted in the discovery of 10 packages containing 4.7 kilogrammes of cannabis and quantities of TT and US currencies.
The suspect was arrested in connection with the finds.
Meanwhile, in the Arima district, officers of the Intelligence and Operations Team alongside members of the Canine Branch, conducted an exercise between 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm, on December 13.
