The Ministry of Health has recorded one more death from COVID-19, bringing the national total to 72 persons.
In its clinical update for this morning, Monday 28 September 2020, the Ministry explains that the latest victim to succumb to the disease is an elderly female with pre-existing health conditions.
The number of active COVID-19 cases now stands at 2,035, as the Ministry reports that 20 additional persons have tested positive for the disease.
These new 20 new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs, the Ministry says.
Meanwhile, more people continue to recover and survive COVID-19:
● Five (5) persons have been discharged from public health facilities
● Thirty-six (36) community cases have recovered. Recovered community cases refer to persons who were previously COVID-19 positive and in self-isolation at home and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.
● Some 112 patients continue to recover at step-down / transition facilities.
