The Min­istry of Health has record­ed one more death from COVID-19, bring­ing the na­tion­al to­tal to 72 per­sons.

In its clin­i­cal up­date for this morn­ing, Mon­day 28 Sep­tem­ber 2020, the Min­istry ex­plains that the lat­est vic­tim to suc­cumb to the dis­ease is an el­der­ly fe­male with pre-ex­ist­ing health con­di­tions.

The num­ber of ac­tive COVID-19 cas­es now stands at 2,035, as the Min­istry re­ports that 20 ad­di­tion­al per­sons have test­ed pos­i­tive for the dis­ease. 

These new 20 new pa­tients will be processed for ad­mis­sion at the dis­cre­tion of the CMOHs, the Min­istry says.

Mean­while, more peo­ple con­tin­ue to re­cov­er and sur­vive COVID-19:

●  Five (5) per­sons have been dis­charged from pub­lic health fa­cil­i­ties

●  Thir­ty-six (36) com­mu­ni­ty cas­es have re­cov­ered. Re­cov­ered com­mu­ni­ty cas­es re­fer to per­sons who were pre­vi­ous­ly COVID-19 pos­i­tive and in self-iso­la­tion at home and sub­se­quent­ly met the dis­charge cri­te­ria and were re­leased from self-iso­la­tion.

●  Some 112 pa­tients con­tin­ue to re­cov­er at step-down / tran­si­tion fa­cil­i­ties.
