Op­po­si­tion Leader Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar has ex­tend­ed her con­grat­u­la­tions to Pres­i­dent-elect Don­ald Trump on his re-elec­tion, say­ing it af­firms the progress, sta­bil­i­ty, and poli­cies that he cham­pi­oned in his first Pres­i­den­tial term.

"Pres­i­dent Trump’s tru­ly re­mark­able vic­to­ry speaks to his in­spir­ing re­silience and com­mit­ment to the Amer­i­can peo­ple. He has sur­vived as­sas­si­na­tion at­tempts, po­lit­i­cal per­se­cu­tion through the weaponiza­tion of the jus­tice and fi­nan­cial sys­tems and years of per­son­al at­tacks, but he nev­er wa­vered in his love for the Unit­ed States of Amer­i­ca," Per­sad-Bisses­sar said.

In a hint to her own bid for own re-elec­tion she said, "It is wide­ly held that lead­ers who re­turn to ser­vice car­ry not on­ly the ex­pe­ri­ence of their past term but al­so a re­newed com­mit­ment to their coun­try’s fu­ture with fresh en­er­gy and clear pur­pose."

She said Pres­i­dent Trump’s vic­to­ry is the coali­tion of in­ter­ests that came to­geth­er, unit­ed by his vi­sion to re­store con­ser­v­a­tive Amer­i­can val­ues and ideals, which have been un­der at­tack by pro­mot­ers of ex­treme far left ide­ol­o­gy.

"Var­i­ous groups unit­ed across Amer­i­ca with a shared re­solve to strength­en their econ­o­my, en­hance pub­lic safe­ty, pro­tect re­li­gious free­doms, de­fend free speech and re­ject the woke lib­er­al agen­da," she added.
