Start­ing to­day, Caribbean Air­lines (CAL) cab­in crew and staff are sport­ing new uni­forms de­signed by their peers and pro­duced by lo­cal de­sign house Janouras Cus­tom De­sign Ltd. Gone are the com­pa­ny’s navy and aqua­ma­rine uni­forms… the con­tem­po­rary ready to wear col­lec­tion of jack­ets, skirts, shirts, waist­coats, and pants fea­ture var­i­ous shades of pur­ple, fuch­sia, white, pink, and grey.

This is the fi­nal part of a brand re­fresh ini­tia­tive that be­gan in 2019 and saw the lo­cal car­ri­er’s fleet re­ceive a new liv­ery, lo­go, and brand­ing. The uni­forms were un­veiled to the pub­lic at a Cus­tomer Ap­pre­ci­a­tion Event, which took place last night at the Hy­att Re­gency, Trinidad.

While the uni­form re­veal was cer­tain­ly the high­light of the night’s event, Caribbean Air­lines CEO Garvin Med­era shared some of the air­line’s plans for 2024. Pend­ing reg­u­la­to­ry ap­proval, CAL plans to fly to in­crease its Caribbean pres­ence by op­er­at­ing flights to Puer­to Ri­co, the British Vir­gin Is­lands, Mar­tinique, and Guade­loupe. Med­era al­so an­nounced plans to ex­pand Jet­pak, Caribbean Air­lines’ sky­box couri­er ser­vice, to Guyana, Bar­ba­dos, and Ja­maica. Oth­er an­nounce­ments in­clud­ed a re­vamp lat­er this year of the Caribbean Miles pro­gram which al­lows pas­sen­gers to earn miles based on their tick­et price and low­er rates for miles re­demp­tion, and a re­design of CAL’s board­ing pass­es.
