A woman linked to the theft of firearms at a municipal police station is among three more people placed under Preventive Detention Orders (PDOs) under the Emergency Powers Regulations, 2026.
The orders were issued against Kristal Lewis, Devon Shawn Ross, also known as “Monster,” “Tiki” and “Eyes,” and Rahim “Guns” Fitzworme.
The order against Lewis, made on Wednesday, states that she will be detained at the Women’s Prison in Golden Grove, Arouca, or another location directed by the Minister of Homeland Security.
According to the grounds outlined in the order, Lewis was identified as an affiliate of an organised crime group known to law enforcement as the Lamont Street Gang.
The order alleges that the group has access to firearms and ammunition and is involved in the trafficking and sale of narcotics and ammunition, shootings, murders and retaliatory attacks on rival gangs. It further alleges that Lewis facilitated firearms concealment for the group and links her to intelligence concerning the alleged theft of firearms from a municipal police station and attempts to sell or distribute them. The order also alleges she was linked to the discovery of a high-powered firearm in a vehicle.
Earlier this week, the T&T Police Service confirmed that 89 of the over 100 police firearms stolen from the San Fernando Municipal Police Station remain unaccounted for. The guns and ammunition were stolen after acting corporal Anuska Eversley was murdered inside the station in April.
Eversley’s colleague, Constable Jivan “Biggs” Cooper, Kwame Arnold, 20, and Nicholas “Nico” Ramdass, appeared before the court charged with murder, possession of firearms, possession of ammunition and robbing Eversley of 114 pistols, one revolver, six shotguns, two MPX submachine guns, 173 firearm magazines, 4,355 rounds of 9mm ammunition, 30 rounds of 12-gauge ammunition and ten rounds of .38 ammunition.
The order against Ross states that he will be detained at the Eastern Correctional Rehabilitation Centre in Santa Rosa, Arima, or another location directed by the minister.
The grounds outlined in the order allege that Ross was identified as a member of an informal crime group which has access to firearms and ammunition.
The order alleges that Ross was in the process of assuming leadership and control of a drug block previously operated by a relative who is now incarcerated, and links him to a recent armed robbery and a double homicide.
The order against Fitzworme states he will be detained at the Eastern Correctional Rehabilitation Centre in Santa Rosa, Arima, or another location directed by the minister.
The grounds allege that Fitzworme was identified as an active member of an organised crime group known as the Snatching Ring Gang. It alleges that Fitzworme is the leader of the group, which is described as a subset of a larger organised crime group known to law enforcement as the Seven Gang.
