Five schools across Trinidad have been repainted ahead of the new academic year under Penta Paints’ “A Brighter Tomorrow” programme.
The initiative, led by ANSA Coatings Ltd, brought together volunteers from multiple departments, who joined parents and principals to give classrooms, corridors, and common areas a fresh coat of paint. The company donated over 125 gallons of exterior emulsion paint, along with brushes, rollers, and other supplies, to schools identified as being in urgent need of support.
The schools that benefitted were Holy Cross College, St Mary’s Home Primary School, La Horquetta South Government Primary School, Arima Presbyterian Primary School, and Arima Girls’ Government Primary School.
ANSA Coatings General Manager Rhea Singh said the company wanted to contribute in a meaningful way to schools that were preparing for the September term.
“When children return to school in September, they should walk into an environment that inspires them to learn, dream, and achieve,” Singh said.
The project comes as several schools across the country continue to face maintenance challenges, particularly in rural and high-traffic areas where funding is stretched.
Company volunteers described the experience as a hands-on effort that allowed them to work directly with principals and Parent Teacher Associations to prepare learning spaces for students.
ANSA Coatings said it intends to continue the programme and expand its reach to other schools in the coming years.
