Petit Valley labourer shot at while deejaying

A labour­er, who works at the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, nar­row­ly es­caped in­jury on Sat­ur­day night af­ter an armed man opened fire on him as he was dee­jay­ing.

Po­lice said the 32-year-old man of Pe­tit Val­ley, was re­port­ed­ly set­ting up mu­sic equip­ment in­side the Roots Gro­cery which is lo­cat­ed at Roots Lane, Pe­tit Val­ley, around 11.15 pm on April 26, when the masked as­sailant walked in and fired a sin­gle shot in his di­rec­tion.

The vic­tim ran to­wards a se­cu­ri­ty gate to the back of the gro­cery, fol­low­ing which the gun­man walked out and walked away via a near­by track.

One 9 mm spent shell with TTPS mark­ings was re­cov­ered at the scene.
