The People’s National Movement (PNM) Women’s League is celebrates a historic moment in our nation’s governance as Stuart Young has been sworn in as the new Prime Minister and Camille Robinson-Regis as the newly appointed Attorney General.
It said, "These momentous appointments reaffirm the party’s commitment to strong, progressive, and people-centered leadership."
The Women's League said Stuart Young’s appointment as Prime Minister ushers in a new era of governance that is defined by transparency, integrity, and a deep commitment to national unity.
"His unwavering dedication to the people of Trinidad and Tobago, along with his proven track record as Energy Minister and Member of Parliament for Port-of-Spain North, positions him as the ideal leader to guide the nation forward."
In response to his appointment, the PNM Women’s League expressed full confidence in his leadership, stating, “His innovative vision and steadfast determination promise to guide our nation toward enhanced progress, unity, and prosperity. We are confident that under his leadership, Trinidad and Tobago will continue to thrive with strength and stability.”
The League also took the opportunity to extend their gratitude to former Prime Minister Dr Keith Christopher Rowley for his years of dedicated service to the nation. “His visionary leadership, steadfast dedication, and unwavering commitment to Trinidad and Tobago have played a pivotal role in shaping our country’s progress and nurturing the spirit of unity,” the League stated.
The appointment of Robinson-Regis as Attorney General was also met with great pride and celebration by the PNM Women’s League.
"As a long-standing advocate for justice and legal reform, Robinson-Regis has been a powerful force for change, ensuring that every citizen has access to justice and fairness. Her appointment marks a significant milestone for women in leadership, underscoring the continued progress of female representation in Trinidad and Tobago’s highest offices."
