Raheem Stephens has been committed to stand trial for allegedly stabbing a man during Borough Day celebrations in Point Fortin last year.
Following his committal at the conclusion of a Sufficiency Hearing on Thursday, Master Abraham Guerra granted Stephens $80,000 bail with conditions.
Stephens had been denied bail when he initially appeared in court.
The charge alleges that on May 3, Stephens stabbed Jovon Cupid with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm.
The charge arose from an incident along the Guapo-Cap-de-Ville Main Road, where the two men were allegedly involved in an argument.
Stephens, who was represented by attorney Krysan Rambert, was ordered by the court to reside at Wharton Street, New Village, Point Fortin.
He must report to the Point Fortin Police Station every Monday and Wednesday between 6 am and 6 pm and lodge his passport with the Registrar of the San Fernando High Court by August 30.
He was also ordered to have no direct or indirect contact with the virtual complainant and to stay 500 feet away from him.
Sgt Anand Bissoon represented the prosecution.
