Three male suspects wanted in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Marcus Marshall, have been arrested by officers of the Northern Division, during an Operation Strike Back II exercise conducted in the Carapo district, this morning.
According to the police service the exercise, was conducted by Supt. John, Insp. Boodoo, Sgt. Liverpool and Cpl Jackman and included officers of the Northern Division Crime Suppression Unit, the La Horquetta Crime Patrol Unit and personnel of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.
During the exercise, three suspects- a 35-year-old, a 29-year-old and a 25-year-old, all of Carapo, were arrested in connection with the murder incident which occurred in the Valencia district.
They were subsequently taken to the La Horquetta Police Station for questioning.
Yesterday motorists travelling along the Old Valencia Road spotted a man lying on the side of the road next to a vehicle, with gunshots about the body.
There were reportedly more than 20 spent shells at the scene.
