North­ern Di­vi­sion Po­lice, along­side North­ern Di­vi­sion Fire Of­fi­cers, are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a dev­as­tat­ing house fire that claimed the lives of Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment Lisa Mor­ris-Ju­lian and her two chil­dren, aged 25 and 6, ear­ly Mon­day morn­ing at their fam­i­ly home on Far­fan Street, Ari­ma.

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment by Snr Supt May­nard Wil­son emer­gency re­spon­ders were alert­ed to the fire around 6:15 a.m. Up­on ar­rival, they found the home en­gulfed in flames.

The in­ci­dent al­so left Mor­ris-Ju­lian’s hus­band and two oth­er rel­a­tives in­jured. “The in­jured in­di­vid­u­als were im­me­di­ate­ly trans­port­ed to the hos­pi­tal, where they are re­ceiv­ing med­ical treat­ment. At this time, their con­di­tion re­mains un­der as­sess­ment,” po­lice re­port­ed.

Fire Pre­ven­tion Of­fi­cers are cur­rent­ly in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cause of the blaze, which de­stroyed the fam­i­ly’s home.

Of­fi­cials have not yet de­ter­mined whether foul play is sus­pect­ed.
