South West­ern Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing two home in­va­sions that oc­curred hours apart in Pe­nal and Fyz­abad on Thurs­day.

In the first in­ci­dent, around 2.45 pm, an 18-year-old woman of Dook­ie Street was in her liv­ing room when the front door swung open and two men, with cloths cov­er­ing their heads and faces and wear­ing gloves, walked in and point­ed a gun at her.

They de­mand­ed mon­ey and jew­ellery, steal­ing her gold be­ra, gold ring band, a PlaySta­tion 5 val­ued at $3,000, and $850 in cash. Sgt Bood­lal, Cpl Gaf­far, PC Wears, and WPC Nor­eiga of the Pe­nal CID vis­it­ed the scene and in­quiries are con­tin­u­ing.

In the oth­er in­ci­dent, around 11 pm, a 31-year-old man was at his Dubar­ry Street, Del­hi Road home when three men, wear­ing masks and gloves, ac­cost­ed him. At gun­point, they robbed him of a side strap bag con­tain­ing $475, an Ap­ple iPhone, a tablet, per­son­al doc­u­ments, and cloth­ing.

The as­sailants then ran off. PC Lal­man and PC Joseph of the Fyz­abad Po­lice vis­it­ed the scene and in­ter­viewed sev­er­al per­sons, but no one was ar­rest­ed and none of the stolen items were re­cov­ered.
