Search­es are un­der way for Debe res­i­dent Taran “Mel­bourne” Chankar, who has not re­turned home since leav­ing work on Oc­to­ber 30.

The com­pa­ny van he was dri­ving, a white Mit­subishi Sportero L200, is al­so miss­ing.

Chankar, 58, who works at a hard­ware store, was last seen around 6.10 pm leav­ing his work­place in Phillip­ine, San Fer­nan­do. He re­port­ed­ly lives alone. Af­ter at­tempts to reach him at home and on his cell­phone were un­suc­cess­ful, a re­port was made to the Debe Po­lice Post.

The Hunters’ Search and Res­cue Teams are as­sist­ing po­lice with the search.
