Police have seized more than $36 million worth of cocaine during a vehicle interception in Freeport.
The operation unfolded just after midnight on Thursday, when officers pursued a silver Nissan B15 along Roopsingh Road and Joyce Road south. The driver abandoned the car and escaped into nearby bushes, despite extensive searches.
Inside the vehicle, officers discovered three bags containing 72 individually wrapped packages of cocaine.
Police also recovered a wallet with identification documents, which they say provide strong leads into the suspect’s identity.
