An an­ti-crime ex­er­cise con­duct­ed by of­fi­cers of the West­ern Di­vi­sion yes­ter­day re­sult­ed in of­fi­cers find­ing one AR-15 ri­fle along with two mag­a­zines with forty rounds of am­mu­ni­tion, in a forest­ed area in Rich­plain, Diego Mar­tin.

In an­oth­er ex­er­cise, of­fi­cers of the Ari­ma Mu­nic­i­pal Task Force, were on mo­bile pa­trol in Mal­abar around 2:45 pm, on March 22nd when they held two male sus­pects. A search re­sult­ed in of­fi­cers find­ing one Glock pis­tol loaded with an ex­tend­ed mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 21 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion, along with 1,400 grammes of mar­i­jua­na in the men’s pos­ses­sion. They were both ar­rest­ed.

pAl­so, of­fi­cers of the Bar­rack­pore Po­lice Sta­tion found one Glock 17 pis­tol fit­ted with a mag­a­zine con­tain­ing 18 rounds of am­mu­ni­tion at the scene of a re­port of wound­ing in­ci­dent around 10:30 pm, on March 22nd in the dis­trict. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing in­to this in­ci­dent.
