One man is dead, and five others wounded in a late-night drive-by shooting on Duncan Street, Port of Spain.
Police reported that the deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Christian Sansavoir, of Duncan Street.
The injured are Anton "Sleepy" Olliveire, who was shot in the left arm; Mathias Kingsale, who was shot in the right shoulder; Shane Duncan, who was shot in the neck, left hand, right hand and right leg; Robert Inglebert, who was shot in lower back; and Jaheim Brown, who was shot in the neck, back and right side of the face.
Police said a white Nissan Xtrail was involved in the shooting. The vehicle was later found abandoned at St Paul Street.
The fatal shooting comes one day after a St Paul Street man was murdered in another drive-by shooting.
Police said residents reported seeing a black BMW on St Paul Street near Rodney Street around 8 am on Friday.
Two gunmen got out of the car and shot several people, before getting back in and driving off.
One of the persons shot at—identified as Jason Alexander—died at the scene.
Another man was shot in his stomach and the other was shot in his leg.
They were taken to hospital by passersby.
Police said the escalated gang war between rival gangs Six and Seven is responsible for the current bloodshed in the capital.
