A Princes Town man is expected to appear virtually before a San Fernando Magistrate on July 19th charged with the murder of pensioner Lennard Mohammed.
Joshua Dhalai, 25, a software engineer of Railway Road, was charged with the offence following advice from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), Joan HonorePaul, on July 16th. According to police reports, Mohammed, 82, of the same address, was involved in an altercation with a male relative on July 12th during which he was stabbed. He died at the scene.
The relative was arrested by officers of the Southern Division on that same date. Investigations were supervised by Sgt Jones and Cpl Bridgemohan, of Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3. Dhalai was charged with the offence on Friday 16th July, 2021 by PC Marsh also of HBI Region 3
