“Where the gun?”
That is what the men who killed Julieno Lewis asked him before they shot him multiple times in Palmyra Village on Sunday.
Lewis, 28, of Corial Road, Princes Town and a 62-year-old woman were in the backseat of a silver AD wagon parked in the carpark area of Rawle’s Recreation Club early that morning.
Police said around 2.51 am, two suspects armed with guns approached and asked Lewis about the gun. He did not reply. They then opened fire on him.
The woman was shot once in the stomach. The suspects escaped in a white AD wagon. Lewis died at the San Fernando General Hospital while the woman remained warded in a stable condition up to late yesterday. Police said Lewis was not known to them.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau Region 3 are investigating.
