The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has recalled all Priority Bus Route (PBR) Letter Permits numbered 0001 through 0645, rendering them invalid from July 1, 2025, as part of an effort to reform and streamline the permit system.
The recall affects individual and corporate permit holders who will now be required to submit new applications under an updated process announced by the Ministry on Tuesday. According to the official notice, the move is part of “ongoing efforts to enhance the transparency, compliance, and overall efficiency of the PBR Permit system.”
The Ministry has invited affected permit holders to return their documents either in person or via recognised courier to the Priority Bus Route Unit at its Richmond Street head office in Port of Spain. New applications must include personal and vehicle information, along with supporting documents such as a valid driver’s licence, certified copy of the vehicle, and proof of insurance.
