The public’s help is being sought to identify the body of an African man who was recovered floating in the waters off Sea Lots on Friday.
The victim, who is believed to be around 65 years old and dark in complexion, was seen in the vicinity of Concession Drive, Sea Lots, around 5:30 pm on October 31.
Officers of the Besson Street Police Station responded and requested the assistance of the Coast Guard, who retrieved the body and brought it to shore around 8 pm.
The deceased, who was nude, was described as medium-built and approximately five feet seven inches tall, with short, greying, unkempt hair and a beard.
As per protocol, an autopsy has been ordered, but lawmen said no visible marks of violence were seen on the body.
